Selected Bunnings locations in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria are offering customers the chance to win up to US$1.26 million at the IRWIN Industrial Tools Ultimate Tradesman Challenge.

The IRWIN Ultimate Tradesman Challenge has been running during the V8 =upercar Championship Series to support the IRWIN Racing entry of Marcus Marshall.

Bunnings and IRWIN invite tradies and DIYers to test their skills in a= effort to be crowned the country's Ultimate Tradesman and be in the running to win US$1.26 million.

The Ultimate Tradesman Challenge requires competitors to measure, mark=and drill a piece of wood, using IRWIN tools as quickly and accurately as possible. IRWIN, which has a long international history with racing, has already put IRWIN Racing V8 supercar driver, Marcus Marshall to the test.

"I posted a time of just over 26 seconds in the Ultimate Tradesman Cha=lenge and challenge tradesmen in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria to beat my time," said Marshall

"Speed and precision are essential for success when we're on the track=and contestants in the IRWIN Ultimate Tradesman Challenge will need both of these attributes to be successful and win.’

The quickest overall winner from the Bunnings segment will join six ot=ers on a trip to Bathurst to compete in the Ultimate Tradesman Challenge play off. The winner of New Zealand and Australia's Ultimate Tradesman Challenge will win a trip for themselves and a friend to the USA. There they will compete in the International Tradesman Challenge on November 9, in Phoenix USA where they have the chance to become a millionaire.

IRWIN Managing Director, Nick Pritchard, has urged tradesman and DIYer= alike to get behind the Bunnings segment of the Ultimate Tradesman Challenge.

"We have created the Ultimate Tradesman Challenge to share our passion=for tools and accessories with tradesmen and DIYers around Australia in a fun and unique way," said Pritchard.

"You don't have to be a professional tradesman to enter. If you feel=you are handy with tools then head to the corresponding Bunnings and give it a go. What better incentive than the potential to win over $US1 million dollars."
