ALLOY YACHTS LAUNCHES 52-METER "MONDANGO"

The "Mondango" represents the third hull in a series of post 50-meter sailers built by Alloy Yachts of New Zealand. The launch of the Mondango follows up on the successful deliveries of the "Kokomo" and "Red Dragon". According to Dubois Naval Architects, "This vessel takes advantage of her earlier sisters' design development and the now extensive experience of Salperton (launched 2002), Squall (also 2002), and Tiara (launched 2004)."

Mondango will be Ketch-rigged unlike the Kokomo and Red Dragon. Her interior was fashioned by the Reymond Langton studio and features modern styling with Oak and Macassar Ebony timbers. In the saloon there is room for up to 10 persons to dine her luxury.

Accommodation wise, there is a sumptuous Owner's Suite and 4 X guest cabins. Two of these cabins will feature a Pullman capabilities. 5 X ensuite cabins will be available to 10 crew members. On the technical side of things, Mondango will feature state-of-the-art functions and equipment.

"The main engine is a 3412D 1200hp caterpillar and she will be fitted with two 90Kw Northern Lights generators. Two water makers will each supply up to 16000 litres per day. Bow and stern thrusters will assist maneuvering in confined space. Her range is 7200nm at 10 knots. The Alloy Yachts custom SeaTouch system will be installed with six touch screen monitors to indicate systems and alarm status. The CCTV operates with four cameras located throughout the yacht."
