LUXURY SHOE SPECIALIST KURT GEIGER OPENS SHOP IN DUBAI

Dubai • Kurt Geiger, Europe's largest luxury shoes specialist yesterday unveiled its much-anticipated shoe collections at an exclusive fashion show, being held at Intercontinental Hotel Dubai.

Showcasing highlights from the current Spring/Summer collections, Kurt Geiger reveals a coveted selection of glamorous, luxurious and directional designs.

Speaking at the launch event Manu Jeswani, CEO of Shoe Mart footwear division of Landmark Gulf Group said: ‘Kurt Geiger is at the forefront of fashion offering quality and stylish products and this, paired with our knowledge in fashion, retail chain and distribution will lead to a successful and ongoing partnership. Their brands are iconic in today's luxury market and we have confidence that we will see strong growth from this exciting joint venture.’

Kurt Geiger stores are well-known for its award winning shop fit concept adapted for the region. Two stores have been already opened to public in Deira City Centre & Mall of the Emirates in keeping with Kurt Geiger's long standing tradition of glamour and function. Kurt Geiger will soon add more stores to its portfolio by opening new outlets in Dubai at Dubai Mall and Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi.

The Kurt Geiger stores will offer own label collections for both men and women; Kurt Geiger, KG and Carvela as well as licensed brand, French Connection. Designed exclusively by an in-house team, each brand commands a strong market position and appeals to different consumers.

The unveiling of Kurt Geiger stores in Dubai will be followed by subsequent roll-out of stores in Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait this year. The deal is expected to open up 30 Kurt Geiger stores across the Gulf region within the next 5 years.

Speaking on the venture, Neil Clifford, CEO of Kurt Geiger said: ‘We are delighted to be partnering with Landmark Gulf Group. Building on their success in the UK, France and Italy, it is only natural to launch into new channels and franchising with Landmark Gulf Group will enable Kurt Geiger to increase their international retail presence. This will enable Landmark Gulf Group to establish new luxury brands in the Gulf market and to achieve their development goals even more rapidly.
