Famed avant garde luxury watchmaking firm Urwerk has introduced a new model which further bolsters their reputation for cutting edge haute horlogerie. The Urwerk UR-202 timepiece utilizes a world premiere winding system that employs the concept of fluid dynamics. Inspired by historical clocks which used air friction to regulate certain mechanisms, the Urwerk UR-202 harnesses this concept to control the rate of automatic winding. The back of the watch reveals the twin turbines which spin to generate compressed air. These turbines also act as shock absorbers, which result in an increased lifespan for the mechanism.

Beyond this revolutionary element, the Urwerk UR-202 watch incorporates the brand's patented revolving satellite hour complication with telescoping minute hands; a unique carousel mechanism with transporters and cams governs the precisely telescoping aspect of the minute hand, as well as the revolutions of the hour blocks. The movement designation is Calibre UR 7.02; in addition to the revolutionary time display, the Caliber UR 7.02 also features a moonphase display and a day/night indicator.

The Urwerk UR-202 Turbine Automatic watch is presented in a strikingly-shaped 45.6mm x 43.5mm x 15mm case which is available in red gold, white gold, or blackened platinum.
