Navico was born as a fusion of two of the most important international players in marine electronics, Simrad Yachting and Lowrance Electronics. With the addition of Brunswick New Technologies' marine electronics division in March 2007, Navico is truly a house of brands, with the B&G, Eagle, Lowrance, Navman, Northstar, and Simrad brands all manufactured and distributed under the Navico umbrella.

Now the clear market leader in marine electronics for the recreational boating segment, Navico's portfolio of products and services are represented in more than 100 countries. Headquartered in Norway, we have approximately 2,800 employees globally and a 2006 turnover of close to NOK 2 billion.

Navico is well positioned to enhance its position in maritime electronics with a differentiated and compelling offering spanning almost all marine industry segments, from small leisure boats through to professional vessels, as well as revolutionary new technology in development. We will also further explore the potential market for our range of navigation equipment for aircraft and specialist applications, as well as for the leisure market.

The integration of the three companies is already well advanced under the Navico name with good progress towards achieving a common culture. We have already started to enjoy the economies of scale that were gained by merging three leading marine electronics' companies. Efficient execution and high-quality deliveries will be achieved through increased scale and focus on sales and marketing, R&D, manufacturing, and logistics. By concentrating on these key areas Navico intends to carry on the former companies' ground-breaking traditions.
