When Moorooduc Estate was founded in 1982, very little was
known about growing grapes on the Mornington Peninsula, as it was
the first vineyard in the area. Since then the McIntyre family have
accumulated sufficient experience about viticulture and winemaking
to produce quality wines. Moorooduc's aim is to express the rich,
full-bodied character that this warm and dry sub-region produces,
as epitomised in the early ripening varieties of Pinot Noir and
Chardonnay.
