An accomplished driver in his own right Trevor raced for Audi Sport Australia in 1998 plus local and international experience racing at circuits such as Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Sandown and Bathurst.
Trevor was appointed by Automotive Training Australia as the Motorsport Industry representative on the project group and steering committee commissioned to create the new Motorsport Sector Training Package recognised under the Automotive Industry National Training Package.

All teams in the Carrera Cup will be driving on Michelin's control tyre - exactly the same compound and construction used by teams in other Carrera Cups around the world, and indeed the Formula One
supporting Porsche Supercup.

The control tyre ensures an even-playing field for all drivers, placing the emphasis on the driver's skill!

Neal Bates is widely regarded as one of the most talented drivers in Australian motor sport - and has a trophy cabinet that proves that he has not wasted his natural ability.

Three successive Australian Rally Championships in 1993, '94 and '95 assured Bates of his place in the history books.
