Hamilton Island is situated in the heart of the Whitsundays and is one of 74 tropical islands that lie between the Queensland coast and the Great Barrier Reef. Idyllic coral fringed beaches provide the backdrop for an amazing tropical holiday experience offering spectacular cruising and endless pristine islands all in close proximity to a world class marina .The Island features a marina complex which includes yacht club , gift shopping , fashion boutiques , restaurants and cafes. The main resort
complex is a short stroll from the marina village where all guests can enjoy the use of resort facilities including pools and bars. Other activities available include safari tours , tennis courts , diving
excursions , fishing charters and watersports ie parasailing , jet skis and
water skiing. Hamilton Island also hosts the annual Powerade International Outrigger Paddling regatta in June and the prestigious Hahn Premium Race Week sailing regatta in August.

Hamilton Island Marina.

Hamilton Island Marina is the premier destination for all forms of boating
from runabouts to superyachts. Located in the heart of the Whitsunday Islands the marina is a popular spot to spend the night or extended holiday or as a reprovisioning base for those out cruising the islands. Currently , the facility offers 205 berths catering for vessels up to 45m and power up
to 125amp and a deep water access of 4.5m at LAT. Wireless internet network access is available and the fuel jetty offers diesel , unleaded , and zoom 50 premixed fuel. The marina has some exciting plans for expansion to cater for vessels up to 50m in the near future. Hamilton Island Boatyard is situated in the marina basin with facilities including a 65 tonne travel lift. Mechanical , electrical , refrigeration , shipwright , antifouling and breakdown services are available.

Flying In and Out.

Hamilton Island boasts it's own domestic airport catering for all flights from the major centres by the A320 Airbus or private jets by arrangement.Hamilton Island Aviation has fixed wing amphibious aircraft and helicopters for flights to and from the mainland or for those special scenic flights
over the beautiful Whitsunday Islands.

By Boat.

All vessels arriving at the marina should contact the Marina Office on VHF channel 68 or by arrangement via the details listed below. Passenger ferries service the island from the mainland and all other resorts.
