Profile
Shannons was the brainchild of the late Robert Shannon who created an insurance business in the early seventies run by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. Its insurance product is specially tailored to individual needs and relies on direct contact with clients rather than through other agents or brokers.
Today Shannons has over 70 dedicated employees with offices in all state capitals and the ACT with over 80,000 clients, offering tailor-made insurance policies for over 100,000 vintage, classic, modified and sports vehicles as well as the day to day cars of owners.
Since 1981 Shannons have conducted Australia's biggest collectable vehicle auctions selling over 2,500 classic vehicles.
Shannons has grown with the support from the Australian Car Club movement and is intimately involved in supporting clubs and motoring enthusiasts through over 350 promotions and events sponsorships of swap meets, rallies and concours each year.
