A fantastic story started for fun and continued with intuition and passion.

A generous dose of folly, an open mind and the ability to appreciate life's pleasures by choosing the best ones. Yes, it took a man like Tilli Antonelli to think up the Pershing adventure. A man who is never satisfied, a man who finds pleasure in knowing, discovering, experimenting and who is always on the look out for that special something that makes the difference. In this exciting adventure, this man had two friends, Fausto Filippetti and Giuliano Onori, who also proved to be brilliant business partners. In 1981 they launched their first schooner. Four years later, in 1985, following a meeting with yacht designer Fulvio de Simoni, the Pershing idea was born. The name leaves no room for doubt: Pershing is the name of a missile, a name that already stands for high performance.

This is how the first Pershing 45' came to be designed. An open yacht that succeeded in winning over even flying habitués, thanks to its remarkable new standards of comfort and privacy that had previously been reserved for classic motoryachts. On one side the thrill of speed and the pleasure of open sea sailing and on the other, the comfort and liveability of a cruiser. In one move, Pershing had called into question all the traditional boat building notions, broken down a series of previously rigidly defined boundaries and created a whole new concept in yachting.

The challenge that each member of the Pershing fleet takes onboard is to invent, create and amaze. And every model, while remaining loyal to the essential Pershing values of performance, design, comfort, luxury and class, never fails to offer exciting innovations.
Moving onto the international scene came naturally, because as Tilli Antonelli puts it, ‘the only way to grow and expand is to join together’. In 1998, the company became part of the Ferretti Group, a world leader in the luxury yachting sector. Another winning move.

Production grows, the range widens and Pershing yachts are applauded throughout the world. This exciting adventure continues with the same enthusiastic spirit it began with. And now the staff that designs and builds these dreams has reached over 200, more than 500 Pershing yachts sail the world's seas and the new and high-tech Pershing headquarters covers over 53 thousand square metres.

Tilli Antonelli, side by side with CEO Fabio Fraternale, is today the chairman of a company that achieved a turnover of over 90 million euros in the recently concluded 2004 marine year. This is a company that grows constantly and is always at the forefront of the marine craft sector.
In the yachting world where everything changes quickly, there is always work to be done and improvements to be made.
