Palm Beach Motor Yachts was founded by Mark Richards in 1995 in Sydney, Australia
Initially the company built and restored a range of custom sailing and motor yachts in the 50 to 60 foot range. From 1999 and going forward our focus has been to develop and build the Palm Beach 32, Palm Beach 38 and Palm Beach 50 motor yacht range which also now includes and Centre Console and Flybridge variants of the Palm Beach 32.

Our goal is to produce a hull on all models that performs well not only in smooth water but also in rougher offshore conditions while ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride.

As well as hull design and performance we have strived to create a range of motor yachts that encompass large saloon and entertainment areas to provide comprehensive shelter from the sun and wind whilst retaining excellent all-round vision. We wanted a galley which is a natural and ergonomic extension of the saloon and indoor living area, a spacious and easily accessed head, a comfortable front cabin with double berth and a large open rear cockpit on the same level as the saloon to maximize the boating experience either at anchor or in the seaway.

The Palm Beach Motor Yacht range are all constructed using E glass and epoxy vinylester resins over core cell linear foam and end grain balsa providing an extremely strong and lightweight hull. The internal fitout is not unlike that of a high tech racing yacht where the bulkheads and fixed furniture are structurally bonded to the hull and deck further reinforcing the strength and lightweight properties of the hull. We finish the interiors in polished teak linings in conjunction with hand crafted joinery to produce a traditional, functional and authentic feel.
