Hocking Stuart Hawthorn opened it/'s doors in 1999. The agency offers services in property management and sales and because most of the Hawthorn office's staff members live in the area, they know their work area well. The Hawthorn team is actively involved in the community; from donating live rabbits complete with Hocking Stuart hutches to the local kindergartens to supporting organisations such as the Hawthorn Artists' Society, Vision Australia, the Leukaemia Foundation and the Lost Dogs' Home. Hocking Stuart Hawthorn also sponsors a number of schools in the area, including Auburn South Primary School, Robert Cochrane Kindergarten, Genazzano College, Xavier College and Ruyton Girls' School.
