"When I decided to sell my club-sprint/Targa Tasmania-prepared1984 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 last year, I initially advertised in all the usual places - The Age and the Porsche Club of Victoria magazine.
I was asking a premium price, but the vehicle was in top body and mechanical condition, so my expectations were high, but to my surprise, I did not get a single nibble not even a stupid offer in the cars first six months on the market.

"Just a quick note to congratulate you on the quality of the website. I marked my Alfa Giulia Super as sold this week after scores of inquiries. A sad occasion but lack of space and time and plenty of daughters needing cars to drive were contributing factors.
I should stress that the car has gone to an overseas buyer who, from the word go, made it plain that if I could guarantee it was corrosion free, he would buy it with no further questions. Seems Giulias in the UK are either terminally rusty or restored to the point that it's impossible to tell where the new metal ends and the old rust begins.
The buyer was one of several calls your website generated from the UK ... just to let you know that it obviously generates interests at all levels of the market. Now all we have to do is move the damned Benz which was the car I wanted to sell first ... would have kept the Alfa had that been the case."
